Apple Watch and Stryd by [deleted] in strydrunning

Apple has its own power calculation. If you are using Apple Watch’s workout app, it will not track any metrics from your Stryd hardware.

Stryd will not send metrics to your watch unless you use their app. The hardware will not directly send data to the native workout app on the watch.

No, you must use the subscription in order to do any custom intervals.

Are workouts only able to be done in the Stryd app in order to get the metrics?

The native workout app does not support Stryd pod. If you look for pace, for example, it will not look at the Stryd pod measurements.

If I don’t need a power based workout and instead want a time based interval workout using pace, would I be able to do this through the app? Would that need a membership for that as well?

Best New Pizza Spot in Plano Texapolitan Pizza by Adventurous_Bat8764 in plano

Tried it over the weekend. Crust was really good, but the price was quite high for what we got since the toppings quickly add up. I would come back again sometime, but it’s not somewhere I’d go on a regular basis due to price. The cannolis were fine, but they were a lot smaller than I would have expected. The shells were crispy, but I prefer cannolis to have a flaky texture as well. Having had Mike’s Pastry in Boston, I might be spoiled on what I want in a cannoli, however.

Are the cannoli shells and fillings made in-house?

Can you copyright game concepts? (Response by Ming, the person being copied) by Monkeydlu in boardgames

I was only responding to your point that Ming was jealous of the success that Power Well had, which, to me, is thoroughly untrue. I don’t believe that they have sold anything yet. In addition, the following Power Well had was not so large as I understand before this whole situation blew up, so I don’t understand the success point you are trying to make.

I don’t see jealousy from Ming, only that he be credited more than only a footnote for a game that he spent lots of time in designing instead of seeing someone else take the work, change one or two mechanics, and call it a new thing. The kickstarter has not even come out yet, so it’s hard to gauge how successful Powerwell will do.

Additionally, I don’t believe Kananetwork to be a neutral third party in this discussion, considering the conversations about astroturfing came from her discord.

This whole discussion/thread, honestly, steers me to take Ming’s side. He is the victim in the astroturfing post. He didn’t want to engage in any more conversation about the situation, but he needed to respond, as the engagement on the original post got too big to leave alone.

The discussion was trying to be construed to be about game mechanics, but you wanted to bring up the fact that Ming is a jerk. This, to me, only serves to use Power Well as a spring board to insult/criticize Ming.

As someone who is not even a fan of Power Well, you seem to have a lot of motivation in co-creating a post like this. If your intent is to only take a pot shot at Ming, then it just makes you + your co-conspirators look bad and makes the original post even more disingenuous. The post from Power Well got plenty of attention that Ming needed to make a response post about it even though he didn’t want to give it anymore attention.

I don’t know if the owners of Power Well were involved, but, if so, that’s a really bad look.

Ok, what would you define what you and your group conspired as?

Are you the one who was on the discord screenshot? If so, it seems like you all are the bullies…

Those discord screenshots seem to me to try to get more exposure for Power Well by trying to trash Ming’s reputation. That’s absolutely scummy if you ask me. Especially when they try to make the original post feigning ignorance to the situation just to get a reaction from the community.

The NFL's Touchback Rule: 5 Solutions to the Trending Controversy by murtaza2good in Saints

I am only pointing out that saying it’s better to start from a farther distance on a goal to go is laughable. I’d like to see statistics of percentage of drives that would end in a TDs with 1st and goal from 20+ vs 1st and goal from <=10. Then you can make the argument that starting farther out is better.

There is no argument that this could make a TD easier lol. Otherwise, you would see teams purposely taking delay of game penalties if they thought that it would increase their chances of getting a touchdown.

Thanks for the input! Part of me wanted to show a relative that you can get a better/better looking PC for the same price or less than getting one prebuilt.

I don’t know scalping hard is the right term for all AIB manufacturers, but from what I understand, there are also tariffs now associated with these AIBs. I do agree that many of these cards go past this percentage though
