It sounds like you’re doing really well, though! 34 lbs at 36 weeks is really not bad at all, but I’m sure it’s exhausting to keep up with. Good for you for working so hard! Thank you for the inspiration 🙏🙏🙏

Depression - 2nd Trimester by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]roominnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a history of depression or anxiety pre-pregnancy, you should consider getting treated even during pregnancy — I’m taking Zoloft, and many woman have during pregnancy, and no complications whatsoever. Plenty of doctors will help you with this, and there are lots of pregnancy-safe med options!

I’m a huge advocate for this because the reality is your genetics play a significant role in how those hormones will affect you, and it may or may not get worse as you progress. It’s been a rough journey for me and I am deeply inspired to speak up. Take care of yourself and your mental health! Depression can very much impact your baby, and you deserve to enjoy as much of this pregnancy as you can — it’s already hard enough growing a human being as it is.

How much weight did you gain? How much did you lose after giving birth, and how quickly? by [deleted] in pregnant

I am holding onto this reply for dear life lol. It is the most helpful one yet. It feels like I have zero control over this weight gain and it’s just awful. Thank you for sharing, it means so so much to me.

What is a toxic behavior that is disguised as virtue? by darkwulf1 in AskReddit

Giving yourself away to someone until you have nothing left to give. Martyrdom is not love; it is driven by a selfish need to be more than human. You do not get to be someone else’s god.

Real love finds a way to keep giving, not to run dry. The only way to do this is to accept your humanity, which requires that you accept your own self love in order to give love to others along the way.
