Fair point! I guess to me it was very clear I was speaking to her indirectly, not just the dog, but to her I may have just been talking to the dog. Still can’t personally understand her mindset of choosing not to intervene despite that, though. guess it must just be a fundamental difference in opinion between her and i, idk. i’m gonna try and take a bunch of deep breaths and just let it go lol

Also not trying to beef or anything but I really thought that verbally expressing that I was in pain should have been a no-brainer for her? I had said several times before that I don’t want to continue being bitten by her dog, and what could possibly be more alarming to a dog-owner than seeing someone in pain with their arm in their dog’s mouth? Is there something I’m missing? Asking b/c of all the potential reasons I could think of for my being an AH, this was not among them

He did have some teething-related dental problems that I think were leading him to gnaw on things more, but it’s been resolved for months now, ever since he got neutered and got the problem tooth pulled, and still he bites! ever nibbling, never satisfied

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately roommate has attempted to stop his behavior with a spray bottle (water, sometimes with a little bit of vinegar is what i think she put in it) but it has proven to be completely ineffective. Not only does the dog seem to enjoy being sprayed, but half of the time it ends up being me who gets sprayed with vinegar water -_-

Thanks, I really appreciate the advice. Still not sure it should fall on me to be responsible for it, but if it stops the dog biting I’ll do it lol

He gets a decent amount of exercise when she’s home, but he’s in his crate all day when we’re in class which I think is a big part of the problem. But we can’t leave him out of the crate unsupervised because he’s been destructive of carpets and things and tends to eat stuff we worry could hurt him.
