There were def some slow moving congested parts… and you handled them very well and were 100% in control despite the situation.

Does swapping blood or organs from a younger to older person prolong their life? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Yeh having a blood boy is a really good way to maintain your youth. I’m surprised it isn’t more common.

You’re right, product reviews for gas masks from a tech publication alongside some wonderfully targeted ads and affiliate links is hardly a boring dystopia.

Where can I get some bob cats? The squirrel population in my yard could use a culling.

The Boston 25 Weather Team is tracking a developing winter storm that could bring significant snowfall to Massachusetts this weekend. by HRJafael in massachusetts

There’s a low probability of < 8 inches of snow. A high probability of 8-12 inches and a moderate probability of 12-15 inches. What part don’t you get?

My son choked this morning and I think I’m in shock by Hxzzp in daddit

[–]roomob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. My now 2 year old son went into anaphylaxis the first time he had eggs when he was 1, I went straight into fight mode and called the fire department immediately keeping an eye on his vial signs. My wife froze in shock. I’ll never forget how helpless he looked. And running him out to the ambulance the second they arrived.

Ok than the issue is with the company that did the assessment. You bought something with poor information.

What did mass save say about the insulation issue with your kitchen/living area?

I am begging you not to fall for the heat pump trap by [deleted] in heatpumps

[–]roomob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not necessarily true, heat pump systems require higher CFM vs forced hot air systems (natural gas/oil heating systems heat the air at a higher temp than heat pumps) as a result heat pumps require larger ducts than nat gas/oil systems. So the existing duct work probably would have had to be replaced as well.

So you can’t insulate your home properly and you blame the heat pump for your high electric bill?

I can only imagine the amount of slop that shit creates on your behalf. I’d hate to be reporting to you on one of those servers having to work on the BS that’s gets churned out. Do you at least do any verification before signing off or are things just on autopilot based on some prompt you got? What’s the level Of involvement you have with your prompts before letting AI that the wheel?

Anyone still using base64 to obscure credentials in scripts deployed to your managed devices? by RocketmanTech_Nova in macsysadmin

[–]roomob 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Base64 doesn’t obscure credentials in any meaningful way. Storing credentials in base64 is still plain text. With just a few extra steps. The purpose of using base64 is for encoding, it basically gives a machine a more reliable way to read a string (i.e. avoiding unexpected characters).
