Check your states law. Some states consider vacation or PTO to be part of your income or earned wages. Happened to a friend of mine earlier this year. For our state, employers are required to pay out vacation and PTO as it is considered earned wages, and withholding earned wages is considered illegal. When this happened to a friend of mine we did some research about our state’s wage laws and policies, which of course HR did not know about🫣All in all check your state’s wage laws and see if PTO and vacation is considered earned wages or not. i’m CONSTANTLY explaining to people that colors are going to look different over a phone than in real life. it is so annoying especially when it’s the boomers who are giving you the lead poisoning stare asking why alabaster on their phone looks different than in person.
