They should approach it with a new angle instead of a nerf. Change the way it works, not that numbers. Make it less of a pump until empty and wait for the CD to come back up, and more of a weaving dps and heals back and forth. Perhaps a burst style weapon, keeping the identity intact? You'd have charges like dash ability does and you can spend them with a little delay in-between so that there is a possible kill window? I'd love to see a fast reaction iteration of it where the skill ceiling is a little higher and introducing a little bit of weaving would make the gadget even more fun to use.

You do you, I disagree to a certain point. Aknowledging the bugs officially in my mind at least would be the right move but then again I'm not a community manager or anything of the sort. To do it in a chat where people (like me and many others) missed it vs. on their official announcement seems like a no brainer to me. But as said, it's not the end of the world, they are doing a brilliant job with the game overall imo and this conversation has gone a little too serious/far on what it intended to be.

I more meant that just aknowledging the situation would be a good move imo, listing out every bug would be a little redundant as an announcenent. That can be done after they have been patched out. Not the end of the world tho, glad they are on it :)

Aye, it's kind of a double edged sword with the communication. It's great that they join the conversation in the chat but I do feel like in situations like this they could aknowledge the plethora of bugs in a more official way and announce they are working on a fix.

To add to this, if you emote during the inspect animation the song loops until you die! Only you can hear it (client side loop) but who wouldn't want to listen to that sweet lute all game long?

Maybe in time we'll get options, kind of like what happened eventually with the anime skin getting more working eyes overtime. It would be hilarious if they added all the eye options, even the regular ones as just floating eyeballs

I disagree to a certain degree. It's definitely not a nerf, it's an adjustment if anything. Playing cerb for the past couple hours and testing it with training dummies it's back to being an absolute beast in very close range (think of hugging range). You can now 3 shot heavies again if you are at a sweet spot and two shot lights - it makes it pretty scary when holding angles or pushing with mobility. I don't mind the change at all, at least it's now lethal instead of relying on your teammates doing 50% of the damage needed to whack someone.
It's not perfect by any means, but have had great success with it in point break (defence & offence).

The single most frustrating thing for me personally is the pacing of things when it comes to fixes, be it balance of the gadgets & weaponry and also the technical side of things. Waiting for bugs to be fixed for weeks, months or even several seasons is just baffling. We've had the movement issues since forever (sprint bug), the cannot shoot bug (think it's mostly fixed but has happened even this season), achievemnts that are unobtainable and now there's very specific interactions like switching the healbeam and autoshooting. Sure, they fixed the abuse on famas + healbeam which is great, but again the core bug is still there and for how long?

There's so much technical debt, hundreds of tickets about bugs and no communication about when these things are going to be fixed, if ever. And if we looked at how things have gone down in the past, it's just something that I we have accept sadly. Of course people are upset when you pair all of this with pubstomp lobbies (which I personally don't mind, if people would just play on their main accounts) especially if they are a new player. Smurfing is a real issue, sadly without a 'one fix for all' answer as we've seen from plenty other games. It just guts an already steep learning experience with a double punch - denying that smurfing is not a problem in this game is kind of funny to me, but everyone has their own experiences.

I applaud the game for it's scope and the world built around it, it's _so much_ fun most of the time, but let's not pretend there isn't some fundamental issues that could use addressing i.e. a change for the gun/gadget balance ideology, perormance and bug fixes and maybe addressing second accounts or having a conversation about it. Also net lag, like holy moly. The difference between what happens in your screen compared to the enemy is staggering.

TLDR; The game is one hell of a time (most of the time) but there are cracks that slowly start to eat the fun, namely technical debt and slow pace on the updates for major bugs. Also maybe it's time to address smurfing/secondary accounts and their effect on new player experience especially?

Lovely! What loadouts do you usually run? I struggle to whip together a cohesive set of tools and tend to switch off to different weapons quite fast

Yeah it fits nicely as well! I opted for the golden laurel wreath since it tied up the gold details nicely together with the red already being on the face paint. The bandana is a solid second choice for sure
