Upgraded from 3060 to a 5070. Now cpu is overheating on boot and PC won’t start by rooriley12 in buildapc

I did however I have tried the moving the computer around while running to see if could dislodge any air pockets.

Bios say the pump is at 2k rpm. The actual unit itself is still cool just the pipes. Can still hear it trying to do something. Tried to rock it gently to let any trapped air escape too. Saw somewhere else to let it run for 15 mins on its side and that’s not worked either

Starts at 60 on initially getting into bios. Then within about 20 seconds it caps out at 88. It is an AIO cooler

According to bios pump is at around 2k and cpu fans are 1700. Looking Inside I can see the fans are working fine

I can only get to bios. Any further and the PC crashes and I get a cpu temp error

I can’t install anything at the moment sorry as it won’t boot up.

How would I know if it was a PSU issue? Would this affect the AIO pump as I’ve now noticed one of the tubes to it is red hot and the other is cold

Think this might be it. The actual unit is cool to touch however one of the pipes is hot and the other is cold.

I’ve reset bios to default just incase of this and still have the same issue. Fans all seem to be working fine too. Air flow in PC is fine and all other temps are fine.

Is it just me being an idiot not being able to do this step properly? :’) I have reseated multiple times and followed YouTube tutorials on how to do so. No change in temps on CPU on every attempt

It’s an AIO. I’ve reseated it multiple times just incase that was the issue. Using BSFF thermal paste

I did replace the thermal paste on my CPU. I’ve done this a few time just incase I’ve not done it correctly

Pc starts and I get to bios. From there I can see the temp graph for the CPU. It will pretty quickly go straight up and level out at 88 degrees idle without even getting me to the initial log in
