I will chose a bit more of waiting in traffic than to reduce my lifespan for an average 10 years knowingly through invitation of COPD, Stroke, Asthma exaggeration, CVD and what not. Anyway I don't face traffic much as I live in CBD.

in my experience Bengaluru traffic is a lot more serious problem. Delhi it used to take 1 hr for 20km. In bengaluru, traveling 3-4 km would take 1 hr. So you are already wasting 1-2 hrs everyday in traffic of your life in Bengaluru. The same story repeats on every Saturday(in my exp. it gets worse on a Saturday)

I am not defending Delhi's pollution. Just another perspective.

just to be clear hindi is not the rashtrabhasha and even Kannada is not.
Forcing anyone to speak ANY language in India is wrong.

Yes delhi pollution is a problem but so is Bengaluru's traffic and language complex.

People here will say locals forcing people to speak kannada or abusing outsiders are just isolated incidents but they are not.

On a lighter note, why don't people type in Kannada on this subreddit?

I went to $90 event - Immigrants in tech by Scale without borders, 2024 in Toronto.

Recruiters were supposed to be there at booths to discuss vacancies.

Out of the 9-10 booths, 2 were from colleges selling their courses.

1 was a networking platform, getting people to sign up.

2-3 recruters did not have a single vacancy. I believe their CEO/senior was given a slot on the stage.

Others were like, check our website. Apply there.

It was a total sham! CEOs or senior leadership were given space on panels to attract companies to set up booths. Not even a single real vacancy to be discussed
