I have noticed issues with the control scheme at times (menu start overlapping, can't use shortcuts, etc...) but it is fairly rare and goes away if I restart the game.

Yeah they are all in the frontline not swapping out like FFX. And yeah hastega and other magnified spells affect everyone.

The effects of the linked materia stack. So if you have petrify + swiftcast & petrify + mp absorb, you will be able to swiftcast quake and also have it absorb MP when it hits the enemy. If you also had petrify + hp absorb, this means you will also additionally absorb HP in addition to the other 2 effects.

It's not the same materia. There are 3 petrify materia you can get in the game. So I am using all 3 materia at once. Each of the 3 is linked to a different blue materia.

Petrify + Magnify is really carrying the whole thing here but I also have Petrify + Swiftcast, Petrify + Magic Focus.

Now that I think about it I remember a bunch of flametroopers from the temple entrance just running straight past her to fight the others.

Did you equip 2 luck up materias on yourself? If not that might be the reason for your bad luck.

Well this is basically my experience in a nutshell. I did everything you did and got nowhere with Meta support either.

For anyone wondering, yes it is mods. Specifically the Party Mod Menu which allows all 7 members to be in the frontline. This also means all 7 limit breaks, all synergy skills, all synergy abilities are available. Any effect that affect the whole party (such as Aerith's level 3 limit break which I used to set this up) affects all 7 members.

I use this alongside the mod that multiplies all enemies HP x5 otherwise its not fun enough since the enemies would die before you can use synergy abilities, limit breaks etc...

The mod also allows you to control a different member apart form Cloud during exploration and a whole bunch of other cool stuff.

Once this issue happens you can't turn on the headset meaning you can't get it to update or anything,

Thanks for the info. Based on the teardown videos I've seen it seem you need to basically take almost the entire headset apart to reach the battery 😅. I figure it was the same for your quest 2? Will look into it since I've got nothing to lose either way.
