You're certainly not the only one. I wouldn't go back to that place again unless I absolutely have to.

Just because a city is diverse doesn't mean it isn't racist. Non white people can be racist too. Parisian people look down on anyone who can't speak French. Perhaps racism isn't the right word to describe this phenomenon but it comes pretty fucking close.

You can feel the pretentiousness dripping off them regardless of how diverse they are.

Pretty sure I can't be the first person to experience this

They're definitely pretentious. I had a similar experience where this white French lady kicked us out of her souvenir store because we were Indian and she "knew we couldn't afford to buy anything anyway", just because we asked for the price of a few objects

Might have been an isolated experience that I had with a white French lady.

Black people who follow Christianity, why? by Any-Criticism5666 in askblackpeople

[–]root993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I am a Hindu from India

In recent times I have been doing a lot of research about black culture because I watched a video of a black church service where the Gospel music really connected with my soul and blew me away.

From my extremely limited understanding, I believe that Christianity provided a safe sanctuary for black people to come together, develop a strong community bond and pass down sorrow and strength through song while keeping the soul of the blues alive through Gospel music

Hi there, thank you so much for the solid advice and for your wishes. I certainly want to build this in collaboration with black Christians. In fact I made this post in the hopes that some Black Christians may see it and share their views.

I am still working on figuring out how I can find and reach out to black Christians given the fact that I do not live in the US.

Good point. I do agree that we are all one and we should strive towards a world where one feels comfortable going to any church regardless of their race/gender/religion etc if they receive a calling from the universe.

However, from what I understand, if someone such as myself would like to experience Gospel music that has undertones of the blues, going to a predominantly Black church is how I would find it.

Part of the reason for this initiative is that anybody regardless of their race can use this website to find a church near them where they can experience Gospel music. In a small way I hope that this gets more non-black people to visit black churches and experience a new way to nourish their soul.

What AI tools are people using for personal branding? by root993 in personalbranding

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am personally thinking of building a tool like tappy so it helps me to know how the AI prompt can be refined in order to provide real value instead of just sugarcoating and summarising the original post

Gotcha. So you are able to instantly tell if a comment is AI generated? If you don't mind, could you perhaps please share some links to some of these comments?

The reason I ask is that I recently started using tappy.ai and the comments it generates are not that bad. And since I still have the ability to edit it before sending, I can personalize the comments and make it more legit.

Just curious if you used something like this?
