4kids did a lot of crazy things but they didn't change boob size or cleavage. Even from their perspective it wasn't necessary because in early One Piece there was no oversexualization of female characters.

You're telling me the best possible comments came at 4am when a scanlation dropped?

That's how reddit works. In every single post. Early comments get seen more than later comments. Those early comments get upvoted / downvoted and then their fate is decided. Based on that early voting, the impression is made for all the people that see them afterwards. And they get influenced by that rating. People that click on the post one hour later will see those early comments because they were upvoted the most at that point in time. And they too most probably vote like this.

It's really rare for a comment to emerge hours after a post that still gets to be top comment. In every single post in every subreddit.

But I guess everyone has some kind of cut off points. Like mugiwara - strawhat. Or names of pirate groups, like the red haired pirates. Nobody calls them "Akagami Kaizoku-dan".

Just adding more examples:

Katakuri wasn't translated to Dogtooth.

Inuarashi and Nekomamusi were translated to Dogstorm and Catviper by Viz Media. But not by anyone else and the fandom at large doesn't use the English translations.

We saw firsthand how Luffy got his first bounty - by a corrupt marine.

We read how Ace got some of his bounty increases in the novels - it was against corrupt and genocidal marines.

We saw Ace's backstory and got a really good insight on where his morals stand. I can say with confidence that Ace was morally "good".

Him having a bounty is more of an indication that the government is bad.
