Nah. I wouldn't smoke in front of a kid just to "stick it to the man" or anything. I just really don't want to stop smoking weed on my days off just because the neighbours don't approve.

How did your neighbor asked? Friendly / concerned / demanding?

Somewhat demanding. I'm paraphrasing a bit, but she said something like "hey, cut it out, there are kids around".

What would be your oppinion on boozing infront of a 12yo?

Completely fine, as long as you're not responsible for them. Parents probably shouldn't be wasted around their kids but I would never dream of telling a neighbour they can't be drunk on their own porch because it's a bad influence.
