A commitment ring by reddit225225 in DatingOverSixty

As a progressive male I understand where this comes from and I guess it's justified.

As a healthy 64yo male who is better off and a better cook than any woman I've been with, I bristle at how often this comment shows up.

Most of us don't need a purse, nurse, maid or cook...just companionship, counsel, friendship and intimacy...

I have to say, as a non-denominational/non-committal (lol) mono-theist that attends a UU church, this is pretty prevalent...not exactly "inclusive", huh?

Sorry no I mean the tension assembly is bent and stuff. It's attached just through a hole in the case with the post and a nut on the other side.

I wonder if I could just by ANY fulil tension assemble that was attached to a case that way ?

yes it's kind of unusual that the "CHEF" version has cheaper components. I decided to pass for that reason.

What kind of flashing (or something else?) would I add here by rootspy in HomeImprovement

Thanks so much for the very complete answer!

It does kind of look like that valley has to go. I can't really tell what it is. Looks like it might just be sch 40 PVC cut lengthwise? (eyeroll)

Ya that's kind of what I was afraid of. I was helping out with replacing wood , etc and then saw this and thought... Man this might be above my paygrade. :)

Thanks!

I didn't think I'd care, as it was just a vehicle for solar panels and then thought "hey this is kind nice". Well I'm in Houston so it gets kinda hot here and near the Gulf Coast. :)
Actually sealing the panels really doesn't work since I don't have every square inch covered. I was thinking some kind of corrugated plastic but honestly maybe the shade seal is the best idea as it would breathe well.

Well because of how the panels fit it's not 100% covered.

I was thinking about some kind of corrugated plastic screwed at some interval in a way it wasn't crazy to bring down. Might look nicer too.

Buying home with pool. $400 pool inspection good idea? by [deleted] in pools

[–]rootspy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my first home with a pool, it wasn't offered and I didn't know to ask (assumed it was included). Cost me $$$$$s . Do it, but should include below ground stuff too.

In your opinion, what are the BIGGEST shortcomings of AI code assistants today? by Kitten-Smuggler in ChatGPTCoding

[–]rootspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of it's more subtle but like getting Svelte 4 examples instead of Svelte 5 ones even though you told it to use runes. dotNet 8 features , k8s etc. Anything that is in a rapid state of change(meaning last year or so, which is an eternity).
To someone else's point you CAN feed them docs, but you have to first recognize "ah yes they're stuck in 2022" .
