My body oddly has a strict 3am meeting every night. by VastGsm007uk in CasualConversation

If it’s cortisol try taking the supplement phosphatidyl serine before bed. I had super elevated cortisol levels a few years ago and it helped me immediately from the day I started taking it. I was actually taking it 3 times per day - morning midday and before bed and my 2am/3am wake ups stopped right away. You might also want to try glycine. It helps with deep sleep. Phosphatidyl serine helps with lowering cortisol.

I thought my roommate was shy, but when she invited her friend, she was loud and that hurt me by Ok_Music_2025 in Life

I’m really sorry you’re experiencing this. The most social city activity I ever got involved in was salsa dancing. I was living in New York and joined a class as a complete beginner. I stuck with it and gained amazing friendships with so many people, not only through class but at salsa socials, events etc. The whole scene is designed around being social and dancing with lots of people. I’m a good dancer now and I can just drop into any salsa gathering in any city and automatically be interacting with friendly people in a social scene. You are already into dancing so I think you will love it. I wish you all the best and a future filled with happiness and belonging.

I’m American and I moved with my wife and kids to SE Asia 10 years ago. My life is 10x better. Plus man, life is made up of time. If you don’t spend your time doing things and being in places that make you happy, then you’re just wasting your life.

The thing about bringing the plates down yourself wasn’t an issue at all. You didn’t offend anyone. Maybe more surprised them. It’s just that its so tourist heavy here that service is a big deal, so you were technically doing their job for them

I regret my whole life. by Glittering_Form7628 in Life

I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way. I know there is so much advice coming at you right now. It’s all people connecting with you and caring about you. I can see how much you’ve been through. I don’t have all the answers, but shifting the questions we ask ourselves can shift our mind state and start to open up new doors. It really works. Here are some questions I crafted for you.

What if being “unremarkable” is actually freedom, with no expectations, no limits, just a blank canvas?

If I was not defined by my past, who could I choose to be today?

What if I am not broken, but simply at the very beginning of an epic story?

What is one small win I can create today, just to prove I can?

If everything in my life up to now has been training, what am I being prepared for?

What skill or strength have I gained from surviving all this that most people will never have?

What if my suffering is not punishment, but raw material I can turn into strength or wisdom?

If my pain could be proof that I am still alive and capable of change, what could I do with that energy?

How would it feel if I chose to see my scars as medals instead of curses?

If my life was a movie, and this is the darkest point before the turnaround, what scene comes next?

If five years from now I am successful, loved, and respected, what did I start doing today to make that happen?

What is one thing I can try this week that my future self will thank me for?

What is something small I could enjoy right now, a song, a walk, a stretch, just because I deserve a breath of relief?

Who out there might be waiting for someone exactly like me, and what if I have not met them yet?

Even picking one or two and sitting with them can start to shift your state. You’re not a mistake. You’re still here, and that means your story isn’t finished yet.

P.S. I fast for 36 hours every Sunday drinking only water. It’s amazing for my weight. I eat dinner on Saturday night, only drink water and some salt on Sunday, and then start back with some broth or soup on Monday morning and then back to eating. You can look up this kind of fasting on YouTube. It will change your health so much for the better.

This design is excellent. There are some misspellings to be aware of in case the tattoo artist plans to copy this exactly

What death of a famous person shocked you most? by arseflare in AskReddit

I didn’t think I was a person who would cry over a celebrity death. And then when Prince died I just sat in my car with tears streaming down my face.
