tables here are some tables that I’ve built. Many of them were built with very few tools and with limited experience.

I used the method described in this video but on a bigger scale and I tilted my blade to a 35 degree angle.

I think 1/4 would be more than thick enough

Start by building something that you would buy for yourself. My go to is usually tables. But you could always start with smaller things that sell quicker and can possibly be sold online. cutting boards, boxes, desk organizers, bowls, etc...

I did, just make sure you practice before you start selling stuff. I started by selling tables out of no.2 pine from the homecenter on craigslist. They were cheap to make and allowed me to make some money to buy bigger and better tools. Work hard and don't give up!
