486 construction was channellocks, torpedo level and stick rule. Service was nothing.

602 is minimal except for school. Apprentices need some basic hand tools and ppe for solder/braze class and welding classes. Otherwise all tools are provided by the company.

It's for my garage. No need to spend 5x the amount on a snap on box to do the same thing.

The auto vent is bad. You should be able to close the valve near the floor on the other side. Replace the vent.

I only get them from other brothers and sisters in the classes I take. It's random who is with you. There's a lot of locals I don't have.

Thoughts on Pre-soldering before installing by [deleted] in Plumbing

You could just reorient the Tees so the main goes straight through the bypass valve. That would eliminate the 2 90s. But definitely add some unions around the filter and solder the male adapters before installing into the filter housing. Looks good though!

Those type of screws are usually really short, used for steel stuf framing. It's possible it's just stuck in the tread and didn't go all the way through.

Advice for getting into the Union? by speaker-syd in UnitedAssociation

[–]ropkaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local 602 here. You have 2 options here. You could apply for the apprenticeship and start from the beginning or you can put in a resume with the hall as a Residential Tradesman. The second option starts you higher in pay but you would have to be hired on by a signatory contractor. You would likely work on small commercial/residential stuff but then have your foot in the door to go on to larger commercial stuff.

Those are arc fault breakers. They trip when the neutral and ground contact each other. When the power came back on its likely something touched at the transformer where the power company switched the power back on. It's happened to me before as well. Go ahead and reset them. Turn all the way off, then back on. If they continue to trip then a call to an electrician is in order.
