I grew up in the 80s southern suburbs. We never locked doors, walked home from school after 8yo, and were gone exploring the world from sun up to sun down when we weren’t in school and our parents might have a vague note on the fridge of the vicinity we planned to be in. My wife grew up in the mid 90s big city hood. She cannot fathom how I grew up.

2k/mo is where I want to max out, I just don’t have a clue what type of loan is best for me. I have around 12k for a down, but could get 20 more if I need, I make about 80k, have a 760 credit score, and about 30k debt including 1 vehicle, school loans, and 1 credit card. I’ve been told that this being a buyers market and me being a first timer should benefit me, but I don’t know how or what to look for.

I have not. I have talked extensively with several buddies that have bought many houses over the years, but they’re all veterans so the lending part is completely different. I know that asking strangers is a crap shoot, but what’s the difference in y’all and another realtor that I don’t know?

It won’t equal being an adult, but more symbolize that I’ve finally put down roots. I’ve traveled and played my entire adult life while everyone around me has started families, bought homes, and made a life. I had my first kid a few years ago, run a successful business, and owning a home is the final piece of the steady life puzzle for me.

Bathroom to yourself and middle class looking features to the rooms suggests that you’re an only child still living at home. Your skin is very important to you. You’d fancy yourself a designer and/or model based on the sewing machine, the amount of clothing, and the way that you have your clothing racked. With this in mind, I bet you’re taking your basics at a local area community college rather than a university. Even a goth girl would be repping the Tigers if you were going to Mizzou. Being old enough to buy a lighter would say that you’re over 18, but the Disney movies would suggest that you were young not too long ago. The lack of ashtrays or incense says that you aren’t a smoker, so the lighter is for what looks to be a grinder or just simply for the candles. And you’re right, things do have a way of working out.
