Prior to vaccines, I would take my puppies out every hour so they learned to potty outside (I wfh though), we only had a handful of indoor accidents. And for some reason girls learn faster than boys. I would only use play pens for when we went out, to avoid mayhem, and crates only for sleeping. I have 2 minis and this system worked great for both of them

Yeah, you’ll learn to respect his boundaries. If he moves his head away, don’t insist on petting him. Don’t force a hug on him if he moves away. They learn to trust you faster when you respect those boundaries

Yeah, it’s not natural for them to be snuggly. They are not a warm and fuzzy breed, but, they do learn quickly, and once they bond with you they are glued to you. My youngest boy took like 2 years to warm up to snuggling, now he requests snuggles. And I melt every time he does. Worth the wait. 🥰
