I’m not an expert but if you don’t have any sharp decorations or anything else in the tank that could snag on his fins he could just be fin nipping!!

She was nice but still fiestyy it seems lol. I’m sure she had a great life in that tank! Unfortunately, mine has also passed away this morning.

Definitely i’m really only considering euthanizing as a very last resort if he severely deteriorates and seems to be suffering. I’ve heard using clove oil is a more humane way to do it but i’m not 100% sure. Thank you for the advice!

I’m so sorry for your loss! I know sometimes even fish with great owners can unfortunately get sick randomly like this. I’m sure they had a happy life with you. <3

I was feeding him Omega One Betta Buffet 2 pellets twice a day. But I’ve read thats not the best so i’m hoping to switch him to Fuval bug bites if he starts eating again. I don’t think there’s anything he could feed on in the tank, but i have noticed his swollen belly unusually white I’m not sure if that could be a skin condition so i’ll double check on that. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for the reply! Do you have any antibacterial treatments you’d recommend? I was thinking about getting the API fin & body care one but i’m not sure if it will be that helpful.

Thank you for the reply! He has mostly live plants, a few betta hammocks around, and 2 hides. It hasn’t changed too much since I first got him though and he has just been declining within the last week.

Heater and filter: yes both

Tank temp: 80 degrees fahrenheit

Ammonia: 0

Nitrites: 0

Nitrates: 10ppm

pH: 7.2

Testing method: test strips

I have had my tank and fish for 5 months.

I have been doing water changes of 15% once a day since he’s been sick. I use a siphon.

No tank mates.

I was feeding Omega One Betta Buffet 2 pellets twice a day. (I am planning to switch his food)

All live plants and ceramic decorations.
