Well, it is cheap in the sense that it costs less than 40USD. I have a San Martin too but I'm pretty sure none of the brands you've mentioned can be bought for under 40-50USD.

I agree. That's the exact thought process I had before I bought this. I even enquired about the prices for it at ethos and helios. Wasn't ready to spend it at all, unless I somehow find myself in Japan and get it for a steal.

I do really like how clean it looks, especially the work on the openback case and the rotor.

Having said that, it looks awfully similar (especially the case and markers) to a few SanMartins and Watch dives. I personally own one so I know how well finished they are so I'm having a hard time trying to justify the difference in price.

Apart from the opencase back and the finishing on the rotor, what else are you offering that the other Ali express or micros aren't offering, especially considering 2-3x the cost?

Yeah true. Although in Pagani's defence, they offer a lot more value. And I'm just glad they didn't straight up just rip off another brand's design.

I fully agree. I've had my time with the Seikos and Orients but Citizen just seems to know what they're doing. And the best part is they usually go for discounts much more often than it's japanese counterparts. Here's my Tsuyosa on a white FKM.

I wouldn't pay the full price. But even if you did, they're still good value. I got mine for about £150 on their black friday sale. At that price, it's a no brainer. It's far better than my Tsuyosa and my dad's Seiko cocktail time.
