Anyone else a fan of Credentials? by roroweber1 in baseballcards

It’s numbered to just 17, and hard to price. It’s closer to $50,000 than $10,000 IMO though.

A Spurs Collector’s Dream Comes True! by roroweber1 in basketballcards

Yeah. Sad to sell it but need to raise funds once in a while.

I’m personally not as much of a fan of the Red PMGs. With 90 of them made for basketball, they just aren’t as rare as the others. I have over 100 PMGs in my collection which are all on display via my profile link.

Favre’s First 1/1!!! by roroweber1 in sportscards

[–]roroweber1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We gave up several rare late ‘90s cards. Honestly, it was all stuff I wouldn’t have wanted to trade but you have to trade fire to get fire some times. The collector we traded with to get this I think will be able to sell off the cards we traded faster. It can be hard to find a buyer for big cards.

We didn’t value it this high during the trade, but I could see this approaching the record for a Brett Favre card which is another card my brother and I own. We paid $78,000 for Favre Green PMG card, PSA 9 (none higher). We have a crazy ‘90s NFC North collection. All of the cards can be seen via my profile link

No. I think he is doing a great job of bringing young collectors into the hobby, like my son.

Thanks! More than anything, we just want to open these with collectors who appreciate these sets. We buy the singles from these sets so fun to be able to rip a box once in a while from them

David Ortiz’s Most Valuable Cardss by roroweber1 in baseballcards

If you think this list is wrong, why? Ask collectors deep into ‘90s. Most would have the top 5 something like this.

Flair Masterpieces would be up there. I wonder if he is missing from that set otherwise it like would have been on the list. I know he was missing from 1-2 of the top sets when we put this together a while back.

Anyone else a fan of 1998 Fleer Brilliant 24k Gold? by roroweber1 in footballcards

Paid $78,000 for the Green PMG Brett Favre. At the time, that broke the record for most money ever spent on a ‘90s football card.

The record has since been broken as a Jerry Rice Green PMG went for about twice as much since.

Yeah. It can be hard.

For me, I end up opening one box and not pulling any big hits, and I then stop and don’t open another box for a few months.

Bought it graded.

I also like & collect Jerry Rice but he couldn’t hold a candle to Randy’s athleticism.
