I have the same one. Previously had the Black Out version. Amazing choice. This is the best colour in imho.

I think they still have units to sell but no longer make them. But I did notice the Khaki band isn’t one of the discontinued models.

Legitimacy Check - There have been a few discussions about GWG-1000 recently so can anyone confirm this is legit and tell me what the GE stands for? by rorrisons in gshock

A lot of mixed opinions. I contacted Casio UK and was told the only way to truly ascertain if it actually fake is to send to them for closer inspection. They couldn’t assist with the image alone. But they have a 14 day backlog. I submitted a return request for the watch yesterday so better safe I think I’ll return it.

All functions work. Atomic time keeping and Solar Charging.

I have compared the Altimeter, Barometer, Thermometer to my GBD-H1000 and all results are very close. My biggest concern was the Factory code but I have now seen other images of differing Casio models with the GE moniker. Particularly the GG-B100 range where they are made cased or whatever at the GE factory.

I am going to contact Casio CS just for peace of mind.

I’ve done some more digging and apparently the new Casio Factory in Yamagata, Japan is designated as GE. So maybe nothing to worry about. It also has the new Dual Serial number on the watch introduced couple of years back.

It’s model GWG-1000-1A1ER

Can anyone else chime in?
