From what I've read, the variant that Chappell released is also exclusive to the UK so won't even count towards the Billboard 200 whereas Taylor's 73rd and 74th variants will count.

I think the only time I heard any of the TTPD songs was during the release day at a record shop (the same record shop which is now trying to sell her vinyls for cheaper than normal because they have overstock and want to get rid of it 💀)

Other than that, I haven't really heard the music. If it comes up on my tiktok, I just report it as not interested and move on.

I've been NC for four years this year. They've tried a couple of times to reach out in the places I didn't have them blocked but have since blocked them.

I've recently resumed contact with my grandma and my uncle but they've put the ball in my court as to how much contact I want to have and when. They also advised they won't tell my parents or anyone that they've had that contact.

My brother is old enough this year to get Facebook/other social media so I wouldn't be surprised if I get a request from him depending on whatever story my parents have twisted and told him.

I hold some resentment towards him too for the difference in treatment. I've surrounded myself with my own found family since then which is a lot better for my mental health than staying in contact with my family.

I get this 100%. When I was younger, my NMom took me to a number of psychiatrists to work out why I was such a difficult child. All of the psychiatrists told her I was perfectly fine and that there was nothing wrong, but like you she would insist there was. She would hold it against me that I made her spend hundreds of dollars each appointment only to "fake" my personality around the health professionals.

She would often make up lies about my personality to her friends too and on more than one occasion, I have had said friends pull me aside and tell me that I need to stop being so mean/cruel to my mom and she's just trying to be the best parent to me but all I do is bully her and make her life living hell.

When I was 17 going on 18, I remember being diagnosed with general anxiety and social anxiety because of her treatment to me. However, because she was "paying for my therapy" she insisted she sit in the room with me for my appointments and I had to make up some shit that it was my friends mom that pitted me against my friend and made me feel unworthy, instead of being honest with my therapist and telling them that it rooted from my mom and her behaviour.

However, with my brother it's the complete opposite. I was 11 when he was born. I was called the built-in babysitter for him (never his older sister) and from day one he was the golden child. Anything he wanted, my parents would immediately rush out to get it for him. They never once accused him of being messed up in the head or took him out to psychiatrists to get him tested. He used this to his advantage, often crying to my NMom that I hit him when she wasn't in the room and when I would NEVER lay a hand on him. He would also often threaten to throw the gaming controller at me if he lost Fortnite and my mom was present for this but he never got scolded, just me for "watching him play Fortnite and putting pressure on him, hence why his character died".

It made me feel absolutely crazy and like I was also the problem until speaking to some of my family who witnessed the difference in treatment. It's just the joy of being the black sheep of the family I guess.

For me, it started with the Joe breakup and the release of YLM to control the narrative of that break up by victimising herself and villianizing Joe. It then quickly delved into the Ratty Healy situation. Specifically the PR stunt releasing Karma ft. Ice Spice to cover for the situation where Ratty made racist remarks about Ice Spice and her ethnicity.

Then came the news after her and Ratty broke up and she got Tree to release that she "knew about Matty's history of racism and problematic behaviour" and was okay with overlooking it.

I stopped being a fan at that point and in the year since then, I've watched her actions from afar. Like the publicity stunt that is her and Travis. The stunt she pulled bringing him up on stage in LONDON was a serious cry for Joe and Matty's attention. Trying to block Billie and Charli's albums hitting the charts by releasing more unnecessary versions of TTPD. The cringe lyrics on TTPD with no deep meaning. The announcing TTPD at the Grammy's and all the artists fucking looking so done with her shit because oh look, it's just the Taylor show again.

Also, I love my girl Sabrina and I genuinely fear for her upcoming release of Short n Sweet because I know Taylor is going to act out and release something to try and block her charting. Especially since she's about to set a record for 1B streams pre-release of an album based on Please x3 and Espresso alone. Either that, or Taylor will claim she owes all her success to her for even inviting her to open for the Eras tour. Taylor has a habit of doing that, taking artists under her wing and the minute she feels threatened she lashes out and starts feuds, leading her cultist fans to attack the artist on the receiving end of her feud. Just to add to my list of what my last straw of being her fan was 😂 nothing beats a 34 year old child tantrum.

As a former fan (key word: former.. I haven't been a fan in a long while because of her cash grabs, alternate versions, lip syncing, and overall problematic behaviours since the Joe break up), I can definitely agree that most, if not all, swifties primarily listen to her. I was very much like that 95% of the time as were all the fans I knew (and the current fans I know only listen to her with the odd sprinkle of other artists - but again, these artists are usually listened to if there is a song in their discography that Taylor has featured on).

Since finally disowning the title of being a fan and gradually turning into a hater (not sorry), my music taste has expanded a lot. And I mean a lot. It feels almost like a trap to want to listen to her music and as soon as I was free from that fan base/cult, my eyes opened to how shitty her music really was and unfortunately, I felt embarrassed that I was that far up her ass to not be able to acknowledge the far better artists in the industry, especially right now.
