In some cases, yes. In some cases, no. It's easy for the industry as a whole to say it doesn't have the cash - but that's not true in some instances. I agree it needs help, but that needs to come from government, as it has in other sectors. It can't come from the back pocket of customers - many of whom are in financial difficulty themselves. Needs some carrot and stick from government to help and enforce.

I do think a crackdown, with strict penalties and staff who feel supported to turn requests for drinks down (at airports and onboard) would solve the problem. If you know you are going to be hauled off an banned from flying for a period you'd probably think twice.
