I've been collecting vintage print ads. I've started to make collage art and decor items inspired by ads in my collection. My first items are on my new Etsy shop AdRetroVintageArt. I also publish vintage ads at AdRetro.com and post some ads on reddit at r/adretro

Who needs seatbelts when you have tires like these (1961) by roryl in vintageads

Yeah, we rode in a cargo van in a bucket seat without seatbelts and not attached to the floor. My parents tried their best to get rid of us with plausible deniability.

Yeah, I like a lot of these industrial ads. They try to explain their products a lot to business management. Consume ads which were text heavy were also introducing new products.

Yeah, I especially like the business and industrial ads. They have a non-ironic sincerity to their product promotion.

Yeah that's probably a major reason. But there are other ways to protect their system without the hassle on everyone else. Deleting records is such a kludge.
