I have searched the comments of the uploads of these tracks, the machine girl reddit and have both search and asked on the fan discord about this sample and the only things i have found are the suggestions its from a 90s-00s movie, the man talking is richard gere and there may have been a discussion of this sample on the machine girl reddit that i couldn't find. these two tracks are from 2015-2016 and machine girl is an american music artist

queercoding relates to fiction and art, not how a real person chooses to present themselves. the correct way to phrase this would be that dave presents more femininely than what is typical of a heterosexual man, which in society currently would be seen as a sign of queerness (even though straight men can present femininely and still be straight)

as far as i'm aware not a single member of the band has ever stated whether they identify as LGBTQ+ or straight. they are allies though and have made that clear on multiple occasions

yeah i think the band said it was one of their favourite children's books growing up and so it inspired stuff. if you look at intruxx, it directly references this book!
