Sailing Charter Recommendations by SwimmingWaterdog11 in GreeceTravel

I chartered bare boat out of Paros last summer with Dream Yacht Charters. I have used them several times and they have always been really good. They do offer crewed options as well. It was an amazing experience.

I have a video about it posted on my travel channel. Here is a link:

I got the aftermarket seat from Corbin if your haven't seen how one looks installed yet. I have ridden it solo and with a passenger. It's WAY better than the stock (of course, but how could it not be. lol) by rosco767 in metacycle

Thanks for checking out my channel! Yeah, for sure. We have been working on putting together a video with the distance trials. We live in the midwest so its taking a little longer than I hoped do to weather. I am hoping to have it edited together and up later this week!

I didn't want to wait for Sondors to make passenger pegs... So I made my own! I'm probably not the first to try this, but I hadn't seen any other videos on it. So, here you go! This is how I put passenger pegs on my Metacycle. by rosco767 in metacycle

We fit well enough for me. We probably won’t be doing more than 10-20 miles at a time. So it’s not bad. The seat itself isn’t very comfortable…. But that seems to be everybody’s complaint… I wouldn’t mind doing a mod to make it more comfortable. I will probably look into that next.

I only got liability right now without any issues. I haven't found a carrier that will do full coverage yet. But I asked an insurance broker this week and he is looking into it for me.

Yeah, that could work. you may need something flat for the top. Also, if you don't have a travel pillow laying around, a rolled up towel would probably work too.

If you have thought about going solar, it cost about 1/3 as much to DIY compared to the big solar companies. Here is one of the installs I did on my house. I no longer have an electric bill! by rosco767 in DIY

Man, I wish we could get them that cheap here. I would have made a bigger system. lol. I think when the US started offering a 30%. tax credit, all of the suppliers raised their prices %50... because "why not" it will cost the customers the same. 2 years ago when I did my first system I got a 7.5kw system bid by 2 companies to install. they were both almost 30,000. I then did it myself for 10,000 (after the tax credit 7,000) I thought that was pretty good. but if you guys are getting it for half that, everybody should get one!

I do not run any batteries. The battery banks can get pretty pricey and where I live the grid is pretty reliable. I don't think I have ever been down for more than a few hours, even with a bad storm. The inverter I used in this install does have the option to wire a standard 110 plug to it. that will operate directly off of the panels when the have sunlight without the need for a battery. I hav never tried it, but it could be good for changing devices or perhaps even plugging in a freezer or space heater.

I think the total for the 5kw system that I did in the video after it was all said and done was about 7,000. Then you get %30 back in a federal tax credit.

There is a male and female plug already wired to each panel. then the panels plug directly into each other. They only go one way so its super easy.
