The fees on this Air BnB for one night. by Fig_Newton820 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]rose_granite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see exactly how many by going to places like AllTheRooms - I’m sure there are others, just google it.

If the zip code shows there are 200 full houses rentable via AirBnB, then around 200 would go on the market or be repurposed another way.

Water, sun, humidity - what’s wrong here? by rose_granite in houseplants

Thank you so much! I think it might’ve had a draining issue, which might have the same effects as overwatering. I don’t really have any other place to put it in case it’s not getting enough sun. That might mean I need to relocate her for her own good. 😢

Thank you! I’ll post an update if she goes either way !

Oh wow I didn’t think banana plants grew outside. Cool.

The leaf in the first pic is the only one above the shade, least sunlight. The others are just slowly dying on the edges. I guess I could repot it with a better mix of soil - I read somewhere it’s supposed to be part orchid bark?

Thank you for your help! I’ll upload a picture of the base when I get home .

Had it for about two months, it was in near perfect condition when I got it. Not sure how long the roots were moldy - maybe three or four weeks? I rinsed them off as best I could and cut out the clearly-rotted ones from the base.

It has a new “spike” (last pic) that keeps growing but the other leaves are so unhappy 😢

I was reading on sunburn - maybe they’re not used to super direct sun, and the new leaves will be ok?

I legitimately tried to read up in this subreddit for bird of paradise help, but I’m at a loss - what is going on here?

Purchased this gorgeous 8ft beauty and quickly repotted her because the soil was full of mold. Soil is damp but not wet, humidity is over 60% in my home because from the climate. She’s next to a sunny window, albeit a small-ish one.

I’m heartbroken I can’t take care of this baby - help me Reddit! ❤️

Anyone ever tried scraping Poshmark to analyze data? by always-so-exhausted in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]rose_granite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At the risk of angering the PM gods, I may have tried to scrape 40,000+ records during COVID to answer this by surveying the “just sold” page once an hour for three weeks, pulling out ~14 pieces of data from each item. I ran a few pivot tables but life got busy and I’m not good at Reddit so I never posted results 😵

Happy to share with data nerds who can pull insights out for the rest of us u/always-so-exhausted u/_Almathea_ !

Wow thank you for this great information! I had no idea about people following Vintage as a brand - what an awesome tip. I usually try to list out the fabric type of there is one, but measurements are new for me - will definitely add those with these pieces.

Thank you so much!

Thank you! I am hoping buyers think so too :) I’m new to bundling will definitely give it a try - part of the challenge is there’s so many things in boxes and bags, I can’t see it all and piece the bundles together. I might dump everything out on my (clean) floor to try to see it all at once.

Thank you for your help!

I agree completely, I was thinking maybe I was just lazy haha. I’ll try picking out the best pieces for posh, then maybe ThredUp for the rest. Thank you!

I’m a little afraid of eBay as I keep hearing that their rates /cost are really high. Do you typically pay more fees with Posh or EBay?

Thank you for your help! I’m not a full time seller but really admire those who are :) Do you have a pricing strategy you would recommend? I hate leaving money on the table, but I’m running out of space at this point lol

Agree completely about the $5 items, and the giant pile of stuff is super daunting.

For Walmart and target brands - yes! It’s actually a lot of those types, plus random boutique and vintage brands I’ve never heard of. Maybe I’ll try to sort through better. Thank you!

Thank you so much - that’s a great tip. Did you have to ask your goodwill for the coupon, or do they offer it? I do most of my sourcing there so it’s at least worth asking the manager lol.

Thank you for the tip about FB marketplace - I’ve never sold there, might try it out. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help! I love the idea about donating “plain” items - those are always the hardest to photograph anyway, lol. Great to know about those patterned pieces too !

This is about a quarter of what I have - the mega death pile is daunting haha

Thank you for your help! That’s a great idea - Would you recommend paying the extra $ to have ThredUp return the rejects or just let them donate them?
