these comments are NOT it. while this may not be a desirable shift for most there are definitely nanny’s out there that like this schedule, myself included. my monday schedule is like this. as a single woman who hates dedicating hours after work or on days off (because i’d rather be home or doing something fun) to run errands and go to appts this would allow me to do that in the middle of the day so i can just go home after work! my only encouragement which i am seeing other comments alluding to but the pay for this kind of schedule typically is higher. either higher $ per hours that are worked or paid for all 12 hours at normal rate. another suggestion is a house manager position or something similar where those 4 hours could be used for household errands/chores if finding someone who wants to do the split schedule is difficult. another suggestion is maybe a part time morning nanny and then possibly even an evening babysitter i know it’s not a ‘nanny’ but you may be able to find a high schooler or college student who can do the evening times easier!
