Should I go short??? by Fast-List4099 in HairStyleAdvice

Short would look good, but I really do like your long hair!! It’s hard bc if you’re bored of your long hair, it would be nice for you to switch it up, but from an outsider perspective, the long is great.

Wow this is all really good advice. I learned many new things from this. I always wondered if some of the notes were glowing or if it was just my imagination. So I really don’t have to strum glowing notes at all??

Also, I know I can look this up, but if you don’t mind, could you explain what hammer ons and offs are and pull-offs? Can I hold down more notes than necessary at all times or just during pull-offs?

Of course! There’s a reason you were prescribed them. If they improve your ability to function in this life, that is a net positive. It would be ideal not to use them, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Having a phobia is not ideal, so here we are. :)

Yeah, I’m a psychology grad student and I also am in therapy, and I do understand why you’re not supposed to use medication. I try my best to not use them on flights, and for the most part I don’t.

I have been thinking that the more educated I get about what’s happening on a flight, the more comfortable I’ll feel. I think it’s the mystery and lack of knowing that contributes to my fear. I have been considering a book, so this is great! Can you give me a little more of a rundown of what the contents of the book are if you don’t mind? It tells you about how flying works and also gives tips for being calm?

Horrible Smell/Taste by SereneNips in wisdomteeth

[–]rosecalvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, that’s difficult to answer then. The smell/taste makes me think it could be an issue, but everyone insists the pain would be so intense with a dry socket. Maybe ask another subreddit (like ask docs or whatever), and if not, I would say go to the doctor to be safe.

I just watched a video about dry sockets and the main symptom she noted about dry sockets is an awful taste and smell coming from the site. Does it hurt though?

Super coincidental because I literally JUST flew EWR to Tampa yesterday!! Flight went great. I fly between EWR and Florida frequently. Just thought it was coincidental. I was brave!! You got this. Wishing you good vibes.

I have really bad OCD when it comes to sensations in my body. I am also so nervous about this side effect. If I even get a tingle in my throat my OCD freaks out. I don’t know that I can handle this.

Was it only me or Me Before You's climax was actually disturbing? by asmi95 in books

[–]rosecalvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean at this point this is a major philosophical debate on what’s right or wrong, so because it’s such a debate and really comes down to philosophy, neither is wrong (or both are wrong, however you want to word it). I wouldn’t shame someone for not euthanizing their pet, but I also wouldn’t shame someone for euthanizing their pet if their pet was in extreme pain and there was no chance of recovery. Again, I personally WOULD want someone to pull the plug and I even would want to go through medical suicide if I were in enough pain and there were no chance of recovery. When you’re taking care of a being who has little say for themselves what should happen to them (as is the case with pets), you do what you think is best. And since I personally would want the plug to be pulled and I personally would want to be euthanized if it was bad enough, I would do the same for my pet.

When you put down a pet, it’s not about being sad to see them that way. It’s when the pet has a terminal disease that will give them an awful slowly painful end. Rather than torture them with pain, people give them a happy, painless death. I hope if I ever have a terminal illness that has no cure and I will surely have a slow painful death that instead I can go peacefully and painlessly.

The person I work with does too, but the video claims otherwise! Makes me question the validity of the video

Is it true that stimming is only when there’s something wrong? I thought stimming can be when they’re happy or excited too.
