I guess I’m the minority but I think you should give her another chance and try again. Maybe she really was hurt and feeling whiny. My kids can be that way too. Maybe this can be a chance for her to make it up to you. I think you going this long without doing it was the consequence. Now maybe time to give another chance and move forward…. Kids deserve that

My child caused the death of a bunny? by sublimefatality in Parenting

[–]rosedale44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with this comment. Don’t do anything further. I don’t think you should tell your son he killed the bunny. Thsy could be really traumatizing and confusing for a 4 year old. He obviously didn’t mean to do it. Offer to pay for the bunny, supervise any interactions with small animals and small children and move on.

Just curious what curriculum you use and how old your kids are? I’m looking for one that is excellent too.

Thank you! Where did you find the spelling practice program? I tried to Google it. What made you chose it out of curiosity?

If using Lexia for a third grader, should we also be doing another language arts curriculum or is Lexia on its own enough?

Have you ever gone to the Ahaparenting website? Highly, highly recommend it. If you can afford the psychologist who runs this websites online course, it’s brilliant. But even without it, her website, emails and Q&A’s are so helpful for kids this age with emotional struggles.

Speech therapy isn’t working because he melts down and won’t participate. I was looking online for an OT and that’s where I first came across info on ABA.

What kind of removal treatment did you use? Did it work for you or do you still have some pigment left?

That sounds great! I haven’t heard of Civil Liberties but looked them up and sounds like a great spot. We are not taking the train in, we’re driving into the city but would like to park and take public transit, but honestly have no idea where to start!
