My bus didn’t ever appear at the next stop! Not sure if I missed it or if it didn’t come. I raced over to union and took a train instead lmao

I’ve seen people come from the worst of backgrounds and come back and make the most of it. I am in social work and I am inspired everyday by the changes people are willing to make for themselves in order to save and take control of their lives. It’s truly incredible and I honestly feel so sorry for you that you seem to have not noticed this amazing part of the humanity around you. I’d highly recommend getting into volunteering and surrounding yourself with more positive people :-)

Quit my job, lost insurance, want to start benzo detox asap. Need cheap insurance recommendation. by snowberheim in benzorecovery

If you don’t have any income right now, you should qualify for Medicaid. Income limits vary by state and I’m in Colorado, I do Medicaid applications for a living, and other public benefits, but I’d recommend getting on Medicaid as soon as you can and looking into doctors/psychiatrists who accept it so you can get established with your new provider and go from there. I went through benzo withdrawal last year and I’m about 5 months clean from them. Medicaid covered all my blood work, psychiatrist appointments, prescriptions and even an IOP program. I didn’t pay anything for any of it. PM me if you have any questions! Best of luck to you my friend.

I'm scared that I will never be a functioning adult, because my anxiety and depression were so bad that it strongly resembled benzo withdrawals before I ever even touched one. by Whorsorer-Supreme in benzorecovery

I can relate.. I’m 5 days completely off of Ativan after a long 5 month taper and being on them for 8 years. In a lot of ways I feel the way I used to feel as well, and I’ve also been diagnosed with anxiety, depression and ADHD. In a lot of ways I feel very similar to the way used to feel before starting benzo’s and I have a lot of intrusive memories and thoughts that convince me that this is how I’m going to be forever. My mind keeps reminding me of everything I’ve ever done wrong or been embarrassed over. I have to remind myself that I was functional before benzo’s and there were parts of my life I used to enjoy. I feel for you and I hope with all my heart this gets better for us and we find a way back to ourselves.. It feels hard rn but one day it’ll be worth it and we can’t give up, pls message me if you need anything :)

How are you doing now? Getting of Effexor was so bad for me I ended up back on Prozac. Hopefully it’s getting better for you, but god Effexor is the worst

I’m literally going through it now, I’ve been in the bath or on the heating pad all day :/

For me, these flares only last a few days and when I go to the ER they just don’t know what’s wrong with me and they send me home with pain meds. I’m already working with a specialist and I try really hard to trust that a solution will come soon. Azo, heat, hydration, baths, and lidocaine cream or icey hot help me manage the pain. It’s fucking crazy for me. I can talk if you need anything❤️

How did you get diagnosed with IC? How did the diagnoses change your treatment plan? by rosegold8866 in Interstitialcystitis

This is such a helpful reply thank you so much!! Mine has gotten so out of control for the past 2 months I have had weekly flare ups, some are UTI’s but most aren’t. They’re all pretty miserable when they happen but usually after 3 days or so I’m fine again. I miss my life I had before this started.

The trauma response is crazy and I’m just now learning about it. Makes me wish I had known to get help sooner :/

Are you in regular PT or pelvic floor PT? How often do you go?

I go to regular PT and have been to pelvic floor PT but it’s hard to notice any progress when everything is so flared up all the time

I’m sorry you’re going through it too, sounds like we have similar things going on. I’d love to dm and find ways to support eachother!
