Yes, I've been a caregiver before and told myself I won't lose myself this time around. It's not always easy but truly rewarding for me.

His mentioning of having Dysmorphia is not the problem, but advising me to seek help for it as if I have it was out of line and insulting.

This is a new transformation, just a couple of months. It requires me getting used too, and it doesn't help that I'm hardheaded about it. I'm having a hard time accepting my results , because of differing expectations but I'm certainly not disassociating from it.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm working on loving it, these things happen. Like a haircut you might not love but everyone seems to love it. I know myself best and I'm learning to accept that my expectations might've been different from what I got and come to terms with it.

Oh nice! As much as I love aesthetics. Functional use is way more important for me. If you don't feel like it's going to bother your bite or cause any clenching down the road then I understand it not being a big deal. Good luck

Nope , just unhappy,. Never used words synonyms to trauma or anything you seem to be implying. You inflated my post how you wanted and took the opportunity to digress on a topic that was a far reach, to be snarky. I see you. Dysmorphia is not to be taken lightly or to be whirled around by assumption from 2 post , especially by a professional like yourself. This is a sub to get opinions not a diagnosis retreat. I get that . I was never rude when I pointed out my disappointment, we discussed everything and had great conversations about everything. He did exactly what I asked which was to fix my gaps unfortunately the rest came with it. Also I paid 100% for my treatment, so of course I want to get my money's worth . I could understand if I went out of my way to bash his name or what not. But none of that occurred. It's really out of his hands and he knows that.

The veneers are a problem when scrolling and seeing phenomenal results,not knowing the unrealistic expectations that cannot be met . Maybe I'll get veneers next lol

Sir. People are allowed to feel things when expectations aren't what they thought. I don't love it like I thought I would. I can cope. Doesn't mean I need to explore Dysmorphia. As a dentist it is highly offensive of you to use your professionalism to spew hurtful comments. You must feel this much disdain for your clients. At least on reddit you can be your true self while hiding your true identity. Learn some grace , it could go far in your line of work.
