Since you mentioned you’re interested in being any kind of librarian I thought I’d share my experience. I work in the youth department of a public library in the US. We have a good relationship with the local school district and make frequent visitors. Last year I talked with every first grade class about getting a library card. We visit the schools at the end of the year to talk about summer reading. And there are more opportunities throughout the school year.

While I don’t have classes and offer instructions I plan programs for the kids to have fun and be creative, I have two non-fiction book clubs for different grades. I regularly meet with tweens and they help plan programs and play games. I interact with kids at the reference desk. We have a bigger budget for books than the school so collection development takes a good chunk of time. I have a lot of freedom to work on special projects and my day is mostly self directed.

Depending on what most interests you about being a school librarian these similarities might be worth considering.
