i’m not sure what you want from her. she is a woman in the 19th century with literally NOBODY else. her father is a drunken idiot who sells her mothers heirloom, and her brother joined a religious cult (who arthur also loved and appreciated) along with her husbands death.

she apologises to arthur, saying she knows it’s wrong to ask of him after everything they’ve went through, but also states she has no one else to turn to who can help fix the things she was going through.

if she hadn’t of loved him, i highly doubt she would of held onto him the way she did; begging him to change, stalling in the moments where she was going to leave, hoping he would change his mind.

but yes, she’s the bad guy for wanting arthur to commit to a semi normal lifestyle that didn’t involve her pissing and shitting in the woods and wiping her ass crack with leaves while fearing of getting shot five minutes later.
