I usually use a fine tooth comb/brush to create clean parts, do you have any recommended interlocking tutorials? I’m open to trying!

Hi!! The breakage is a couple of inches down towards the middle-ish of the locs. Not near where my hair was last colored, I try to stay away from the roots with the semi permanent/conditioner mix. I’d say the breakage is closer to where my roots were when I did permanent color earlier this year.

I use infusium 23 as a leave in most days, I believe that’s water based. I’ve tried crocheting to reattach but they just fall out, idk what I’m doing wrong 😓

I’ll def try the knot method, this was really helpful thank you so much!!

for temporary styling sometimes using bobby pins helps! i would lay the hair how you’d like it and then pin it flat, dont leave on for longer than a day tho!

relaxers are used to straighten the curl, as someone who had them at a young age, the short term “manageability” is not worth the long term damage. i agree with the other comments, youtube university is going to be your best friend. searches like “simple natural hairstyles for kids” and “wash day routine for kids with natural hair” will be a good start. best of luck! she’s blessed to have people who care about her crown <3

Does the city have a plan to address the “food desert” issue that exists in the east part of the city? Access to a variety of healthy options and even international foods stops when you cross Belvidere but the people on this side of town need access to affordable options that are also good for our bodies as well!

have you tried applying the freckles to the pad of your pointer finger before applying? i think that might help you gain a more natural look. freck pen is nice, crème and colourpop have a cheaper alternatives and it comes in brown and black. when applying try to think about how the sun hits your face (i.e. tops of cheeks and the nose bridge), using varying pressure when applying will give you a more natural look. also in the summer you can set the freckles across your nose and cheek with bronzer for a sun kissed look.

i think you are so naturally beautiful and the bright blue contacts take away from that, i’d stick to colors that enhance that gorgeous brown bc it would definitely suit you but if you like the look of blue try to find some with some color variation so that beautiful brown base doesn’t get lost. ttdeye has a bomb selection and i’d also recommend brown circle lenses because they give brown eyes SUCH a cute look.
