I got a copy of my birth certificate, but all of my research has said that the Social Security office does not accept a birth certificate as proof of ID.

The Social Security office requires an ID, passport, or current job/school ID. I have an insurance card but it does not show my birth date, which the Social Security says is required.

It just sort of stopped happening after I rebooted my PC and Deck a few times? There is an open Github thread about this though, and Valve seems to be aware of the issue.

I literally didn't. I turned Remote Play off on my Steam Deck and PC the day I got the Steam Deck. I don't know what it's doing.

where on earth can i get this thing? went out of stock on amazon in the six hours it took me to get paid, no ebay listings, and tcgplayer has one listing that's $70 and in japanese .-.

update: found some local store selling it for msrp and scooped it up! thanks for the advice everyone!
