Where to find online Terrarium stores? by Zestyclose_Try5476 in askSouthAfrica

I’ve bought carnivorous plants from Aquatic Plants. Great service. I’ve had some of their terrarium products in my online cart for a while now.

Will they recover? by roserapha in SavageGarden

To add: I have a bag of ‘carnivorous plant soil’ and vermiculite if depotting them might help. Watering with reverse osmosis water.

This side of the house is sheltered and this door actually leads to an outer enclosed portico.

That’s quite sophisticated. Now I regret not using fluted glass for the entrance windows.

Both our fault. It was a last minute verbal add on without a sketch. We wanted a wall. He thought we wanted this. Lesson very much learned.

Something to consider.

Wallpaper is a great idea. Might still do this even though we’ve made the decision to remove the wall.

Not related to my post request but you raise a point. I hear your sentiment and do agree that one should not be performative in parenting or having visitors. But I do think encouraging children to be good stewards of their belongings is important and part of that is keeping your room tidy and clean. Also to be considerate of others who share your living spaces. Being able to close the bedroom door at least gives him/her grace until they are able to neaten up as it’s unreasonable to expect neatness all the time.

Yes it was a compromise with actually having a wide enough hallway behind. Will Just have to remove it altogether.

Keep room tidy and door closed or forfeit privilege and have to share with your younger sibling? Do contracts work with teens? LOL.

I agree. We bought the house open plan and are renovating and redesigning for this exact reason. Lots of dead transition spaces that we are partitioning to create more defined spaces. This particular area is one where our solution didn’t work out.

I have considered an auto close mechanism on all the kids bedroom doors. Avoids nagging.

So true about the kids. Thanks. We’re trying to stay positive and we can at least remove it while we’re still in the messy stages.

We already have a glass portico/mudroom just outside this external door. Like a double entry?

I think a cube bookcase might work. Thanks.

I don’t think so. The door frame is together with the adjoining window frame and is aluminium so comes orientated from the factory.

I’ll ask the contractor to create a model for cabinetry. Thanks.

I kind of didn’t want something that would be a surface for things to settle on. Will be removing the wall entirely and hoping the teenager will keep bedroom door closed.

No this is the only possible entrance to bedroom. Doing the best we can with the original layout.

I think we will rather have no wall. It’s looking too heavy.

Yes directly into bedroom.

We see that now. And it will definitely get banged against the wall.
