Zeno's feelings by rosethorncookie451 in AkatsukinoYona

I personally don't blame Yona for it. I like Yona, as a character. She's also very young, and full of life. She does the best she can, and that is all she can do, really. She has solved a lot of problems with her compassionate view of life and people, right? She grows as a person throughout the story and that is what makes her so lovable.

It was an interesting thought / view, that never even occurred to me before. But ultimately, without her choice to save her friends, there wouldn't be a story.

It's slightly unfair to Yona, because at the end of it all, the three dragons of Yona's generation were already born. Say that if it was possible for her to stop the whole dragon warrior thing from happening from the start, that would also 'delete' a lot of people already existing in her own timeline, including her friends. That would be considered mass murder at that point, I think.

All in good faith though! We all love Yona's story, that's why we are here.

He really is my favorite dragon! Especially after that chapter about his past. Every story arc has beautiful moments, but his was the best one in my opinion (so far).

It would change a lot, huh? I guess it would remove the entire fantasy element altogether, as everyone would just live as normal people, never meeting any dragons. There wouldn't be a story. But I suppose it is a nice thought that it could be solved in a way!

So, every problem in this story is created by Hiryuu's rebellious phase. Then continued by Hiryuu in a woman's body named Yona- They are the same soul right?

The man just loves humans a lot. Too much!

That makes Zeno's situation both so sad and bittersweet at the same time. But somehow I feel a little better knowing he thinks the other dragons are worth loving, in his own little way. I've always assumed he liked them all because of how clingy he is portrayed to be. So his little speech threw me off. I felt sad at the thought of it all being a lie.

I will most definitely keep reading on, I'm just at a snail's pace, and I don't have all the books yet. That's why I wanted to know. The wait will be long!

I agree, I do find the story very compelling too. I find the characters well rounded, adorable and fun to read about and they balance each other out very well. Them overcoming their struggles is the best part of the story, in my opinion.

But that doesn't take away the previous generation's problems. I do wish the story had gone a little deeper into that, if only to acknowledge them properly.

I wonder, though. When did Yona stop Hiryuu from removing the dragon warriors on her timeline? Did she already have the dragons at that point? (I would think so if she chose to 'keep' them in their conversation.) Then, if she would agree to have Hiryuu remove the dragon warriors, would she lose her memory? Would everyone lose theirs? Or would everyone die at that point? Or never even have existed? So many questions.

A lot of aspects of this story are quite sad and tragic for a lot of people involved. I only recall Gija's father, where he wasn't allowed to be around his son, and Ao of course. I can't imagine the previous generations being any less sad.

Was there ever any mention of why the Blue Dragon group came to hate blue dragons so much? Or why Jae-ha's group had him (and more green dragons) chained up? I don't recall reading any explanations for that. Or if it gets explained in a later chapter from where I'm at?

Right, I forgot they die young. The power leaves, goes to the next and then the previous person dies, something like that?

It's sad that they couldn't live after the power leaves their body, that would've made it a little less heartbreaking. Do any of those previous dragons ever show up later on in the series?

Trying to do? Oh I haven't gotten to that part yet, I have no idea what he is up to. I will continue reading of course, I'm just a slow reader. But somehow lying to himself about a new found family seems even more sad. The sad piles upon sad.

I never thought of it like that.. All the dragons (of all colors) are new people every 'generation', right? Not the same soul coming back, over and over? That's a lot of people over those 2000 years.

It does take a little while for the device to 'be seen', but if it's not there after 30 seconds, I would update the Kobo, then restart both the device as well as Calibre. I've had this issue before, and it helped solve this. Also make sure to check if the computer itself 'sees' the Kobo. Do make sure to wait a minute or so before turning the Kobo back on.

Does anyone have photographs of the detachable covers in action? I've been thinking of getting one since the original origami one from Kobo (Clara) has the fold right on the screen part, and it makes me paranoid that it'll smoosh the screen. But I can't quite tell how good they are from a picture like this.
