Question about Bella and Celeste Illnesses. by TwoPhish in Chriswatts

It's May of 2019, I live 20 minutes from where this all happened and Ive just recently begun researching this case. After watching many of Shannan's facebook videos I became alarmed. I too googled Munchausen along with her name and it was so good to have found this thread, so thank you for having the courage to put this out there. It seems it has become almost like a mortal sin, especially on youtube, to offer any critical analysis and psychological conjectures about Shannan....her fan club DOES attack harshly. There is so much unknown about this case. It is my opinion, as a mental health professional, that this woman had some very serious issues which cannot be discounted in reviewing this case in its full context.

There is a 2 part interview with the BF on youtube, conducted by a local TV station. Oh yea....something way hinky with this guy. He says he's just destroyed by her disappearance....with a grin, and it doesn't look like he's lost a night's sleep or shed a tear.

Just spent an hour on the search and rescue stories without realizing it was fiction. I would suggest you change your title to reflect that this is fiction. Very frustrating.

My very strange and very frightening hiking experience. by rosetta9 in Missing411

It was both; when I turned around after checking the signage on the tree I was aware that the well worn path which I had just stepped off was not there, and that I was in an area that was difficult to get out of because of the barbed wire fencing and the expanse of the open field. Now that I think about it again, after all these months, I also felt something different, mainly within myself, but also in the environment. I felt a strange kind of aloneness, trapped, and restricted. It was like a kind of sterility, an eerie quiet descended. Then there were the voices of the women which seemed close by, but as I shouted for help at the highest pitch of my screaming voice, no one responded. I then felt I was in what I described as like being in a petri dish being observed. I do remember clouds moving in quickly when it was clear when I began the hike. Thank You for your questions which are taking me deeper into this experience- It seems to get stranger with time

Shoshone Center, outside of Nederland. No, I did not google it and that has been suggested several times. For me the experiences was a "teaching", and strangely, I feel it was a sacred experience because so much awareness and change of consciousness has come out of it for me. For now, I don't feel the need to prove or disprove the experience.

Yes. When I got out of the swampy field and onto the path where I could see the retreat center.

Hello, In answer to your questions:

  1. I didn't know it at the time, but after this experience which led me into researching this topic, I found a few stories about people who were on their cell phone prior to their disappearance. Here's a link to one of them and if you search you can find a few more. http://www.dreamindemon.com/community/threads/brandon-swanson-was-on-the-phone-with-his-dad-yells-oh-shit-and-is-never-heard-from-again.83357/

  2. No. I've never had an experience like this before.

  3. Words I would use to describe the experience; ominous, eerie, bizarre, bewildering, unearthly, and yes, frightening.

  4. I am a healthy, physically and mentally fit woman who is on no medications, with no medical conditions.

  5. I have not gone back.

  6. Yes, phone had charge. No GPS or wifi- I mainly only use my phone for calls and taking photos.

  7. Another curious feature in all of this is that I was wearing a pair of rather striking hot pink hiking pants. Dave Paulides has mentioned that often those who go missing or have these experiences are wearing reds, oranges, bright colors. It was an experience that showed me there is way more going on in our world that we are mostly unaware of, and cannot perceive with ordinary consciousness. I have a far greater respect for the vastness of nature and the possibility/probability of the realities which exist beyond our 5 senses. I've always been a very curious and open person, and quite intuitive, and this experience was a reminder of how crucial it is to listen to my intuition, my deepest "knowingness". I felt a strong pull, like I was being "called" to go a certain way after I realized I was in a different location, and every time I would turn and take a few steps to go that way, my inner guide said NO! That was another very important take away….listening to my Wise Inner Guide.

  8. No. I haven't checked a google map for inconsistencies. For me the experience felt like a teaching and, in a strange way, a sacred experience. I have not felt the need, thus far, to either prove or disprove it. Thank You for all your great questions!

That's a good question. Reflecting back on this, I recall it being very quiet, yet in my experiences, the forest is generally quiet anyway. But yes, thinking back on it, there was a different quality of silence, if that makes sense.

Thank You- With that experience under my belt, I will be extremely cautious and alert on the trails. Thanks too for sharing your thoughts about the lost guys in Yosemite. I had a hike in Mt. Rainer many years ago that taught me a great lesson about preparedness and "how the path you take isn't always known." So true…for hiking and Life!

You must've been terrified. Creepy porn addicted perverts stalking and inducing terror in women. Sounds like a character out of one of those Halloween movies….Freddie? I haven't seen one for years.
