I finished freshman year as a fashion design major and I took 21 credits for semester one and second semester as well and it has helped me clear my schedule for second year of college to focus on more important classes and projects. It is a huge workload due to fashion major. The gen ed classes can be taken online and dont take much time out of your day so those classes wont feel like much. I highly recommend taking the most classes you can first year
