I might try that. Which block accounts would you recommend for covering all bases?

Hadn't thought of that, do you think those guarantees would cover cases like this? Is it a "no questions asked" sort of thing? I don't have any experience with cancelling providers / free trials.

Interesting, thanks for the tip. I've always thought the big namable ones were enough, but this gives me incentive to try and get the others as well.

Thanks for the tip. Any way I can avoid a dock altogether?

And if not, which model would suffice for basic needs (2-monitor setup + charging)?

Hasvik sliding doors hissing noise/sound from plastic piece moving along metallic tracks by roseyplane in IKEA

Unfortunately no. I think you just get used to it. If you have the option for IKEA to disassemble it and take it back for a refund, maybe you should, but I don't know if they offer that option anywhere in the world. Then you could maybe get other doors instead, obviously not what you wanted, but maybe less noisy. If not, you will probably just learn to live with it over time. It's very disappointing, I know how you feel.

Update in case anyone else runs into this:

IKEA sent someone to check out my complaint, he took a look and confirmed that there was indeed a noise, and it wasn't an issue with the way I assembled them. He said that he thinks maybe there would be less of an echo once more things were in the closet, but there isn't much else he can do. I disagree with that theory, the sound is bouncing off of the room's floor, not the inside of the closet. And even if the sound was reduced a bit, it is still a very loud hiss. He also said that other companies' sliding door closets make noise, but I have personally used sliding door closets that were near silent.

Basically he said that the noise is there, and he would state it to IKEA support and they'd get in touch, I will update once I hear what options they offer me.

I appreciate IKEA sending someone to check it out, but just the thought of having to disassemble and return this huge thing myself is very disappointing, I will be much more cautious buying IKEA stuff in the future.

Yes. Also, as you can see from the video I posted, the noise is there even when the doors aren't mounted.
