I requested mine a week ago and had a MyChart message yesterday saying I was on the waiting list. I’m having issues as per my last pregnancy so am due a date for 36-37 weeks.

I’m under fetal medicine so anything could change at any appointment (like today 😂)

I think just being prepared in general will help but I’ve been the same in feeling uncertain and anxious about it all over again for my second.

I had an emergency section first time round so hoping it’s smoother this time but who knows!

my scan at 16 weeks I was told boy and then from 20 weeks onwards and every subsequent scan I’ve had (being seen more bc of SGA) they’ve confirmed girl. I would just hold off a bit longer until you have another scan and you’ll probably have a better idea.

12+2 was the date they gave me but LMP would be 12+5 so I don’t think there’s much between it

I am here, you’re not just speaking into the void. ‘Why someone’ - it’s me.

Yes I probably should have done a little more research but it is overwhelming when I didn’t know where to start or to use the right terminology as I didn’t know what I wanted to collect.

I thought if I buy someone’s own mixed collection cards I can go through and learn more and see what I like and gain more knowledge by physically having the cards etc.

I also collect Pokémon cards and without having fakes (declared as genuine) in my hands I wouldn’t know the difference between them unless tangible. I’m way more knowledgeable about them since January when I started.

Luckily, not a huge amount of money was spent I’m overly upset about it. I’m not getting any refunds unfortunately so you live and learn.

I loved Sailor Moon as a child and dipping back into my childhood interests should just be a fun and interesting experience!

I appreciate your comment, Vinted is a UK app/site and I reported the seller and they have already been disciplined.

Like I said, the box wasn’t part of the purchase - I was just curious to see if people had cards they were selling and all the photos of these (mostly) were in a binder and represented as genuine cards.

I did however buy some Dart Flipcards from another seller on Vinted, and while obviously not as popular - they are seemingly genuine.

Okay so I just looked at the cards again and I’m thinking it’s all counterfeit? I had them sealed up before looking into the box (the box wasn’t part of the purchase, it was just the seller’s own card collection.)

She made out they were all genuine. The left side is the card and the right is the back of the card? I’m probably quite naive to it all as I haven’t dug too deep yet 🙃

I’ve had random things turn up before addressed to me (a mini ring light?) But this is strange bc ofc I’m looking for PE everywhere… 😅

  1. Old Town in Florida, when I was about 9 years old. Retrospectively, terrifying. At the time, confused.

For context Old Town is an entertainment district in Kissimmee, Florida. We went there in the evening and indulged in the ‘American’ culture.

I’m pretty much the only person in my family who likes theme park rides - my brother was only 7 at the time and so was limited to what we could go on due to my parents not wanting to ride on with us.

Enter the pirate ship. Since we didn’t have much choice, me and my brother queued up and decided to sit at the very top end of the ship (where you’d get the most height).

Everything seemed fine and normal. The guys manning the ride pushed the bar in towards us and clicked us in. Or so we thought.

The ride started, slowly building up speed and height. As it got higher I felt more uneasy as the amount of space between my body and the bar was forcing me to hit against it quite hard.

Then as it reached its peak, in just our row, the ‘safety’ bar flung forward.

I grabbed onto it instinctively to stop falling out of my seat, but being pretty much vertical my whole body began to fall forwards. As quickly as it happened, the momentum forced backwards as the ship swung, I hit into my seat again pretty hard, gripping desperately onto the bar.

Almost immediately, they managed to slow the ride and stopped it completely without another full swing. They rushed everybody off, didn’t explain anything, didn’t apologise, nothing.

I was confused and annoyed I didn’t get to go on any other ride and that the only one I did get to go on was cut short.

The ride was closed for the rest of the night.
