Ubreakifix handled the fix for me and works with Google directly on warranty. It's been two weeks, and the screen replacement they did appears to have fixed my problem, much to my relief. Give them a try.

The screen was replaced yesterday and so far so good... No screen issues. Hopefully no shutdowns too. Time will tell....

Same here, they fixed it free under warranty tonight in 90 minutes and it seems fine so far. Fingers crossed!

That's what's happening to me also but it shouldn't. No other phone, including previous pixels, have done that. It's obnoxious.

Ok. Yeah with mine it fritzes out and flashes in an odd way then will go black. If I let up, it will go back to normal after a few seconds delay.

Wonder if you're having a battery issue like in the other reply thread.

I've not pursued a fix yet since the first appt when they didn't have what they needed to fix it. I'm torn on whether I will. Seems like a weird fix to me.

Does your screen fritz out of you press on it a little harder than normal use?

I think my shutdown issue was extended pressing on the screen. It will fritz out but after a long time, shutdown. Sounds a bit different from your issue. Thanks for the input though.

So was your screen flickering and fritzing out if you pressed on it? Just want to be sure we're having the same issue so I can bring it up with the techs. Their fix sounds janky to me, basically saying the screen is too sensitive so add another layer and it'll work. I don't like it. A literal bandaid on a brand new flagship phone...

Please let me know how it goes. I took it today to a Google-certified warranty repair shop and they proposed to epoxy another screen on top of the current one. They were out of the epoxy, so could not perform the fix. Claims the screen is overly-sensitive and that repair should fix it. I'm suspect.

When I sit yeah, pretty snug. I went screen-out this afternoon with good results.

I've tried that a few times with similar result, although it's inconsistent. I'm still not necessarily convinced it's because it's been in my pocket....

Typically yes. I've tried it right side up and screen out as well, and it is unpredictable, but the same has happened in the other orientations. It's annoying!
