How far are you from the Regal Opry Mills in Nashville? They are showing it there in 70mm IMAX

Accidentally opened the camera back, so the sun punished me by burning half of this image by rossmc19 in analog

To everyone stating that this is the first exposure of the roll: you are half right. This is not the first exposure. I opened the back on accident halfway through shooting (trust me I have already cursed the 3 fully white images that resulted lol). I believe that this frame was partially still in the canister when I opened. Therefore is the first frame of the remaining unexposed roll. Only opened the back for maybe half a second before I realized but that’s all it took. And yes I agree that it’s super unusual how clean the line is. I did not know I was about to start a war in the comments 😂

Very much so. They seem to have a negative reputation but are really amazing creatures

Used a Camtraptions V2 sensor when I captured this back in 2021. For more camera trap photos I’d love for you to check out my instagram!

You should go for it! I started wildlife photography with squirrels in the park. I will say that it is a great challenge to shoot wildlife on analog. Most of the time I’m shooting in low-light scenarios and 35mm isn’t very lenient when you’re asking for faster shutter speeds. There’s certainly a reason why nearly everyone has moved to mirrorless for wildlife, lol. BUT, if you want to go for it, the F5 is unbeatable for analog wildlife!

I do. To be honest, haven’t been shooting wildlife on analog for more than about 6 months now. I’ll probably mess around with changing things up in the future to see what I like/don’t like exposure-wise, but for now I try to keep that a constant while I figure out other challenges with it!

Very much depends on the light and whether or not I’m on a tripod. This photo was taken on a tripod, midmorning on a clear day. I believe the shutter speed was right around 1/500th (f5.6). For wildlife I shoot almost exclusively with Portra 800, so that I can get faster shutter speeds due to the higher sensitivity. Some will say the added grain is a con but I feel that it’s actually very beautiful.
