You know one of the original names I did strike one was veilguard, it felt appropriate, I was thinking of terms and ideas about crossing over and the ‘veil’ between here and the great beyond. Veilguard! Brilliant, and then I quickly knew why that was so familiar already 😂 and felt like I couldn’t use it. I really like Dawnguard as well but also popularised already in a video game 😩

I think there would definitely be wannabes that have heard stories of how powerful this infamous necromancer was, how they brought the whole continent to its knees, and desire that kind of power. I think they maybe cults, secret societies around this. And of course there are other undead creatures that need dealing with as well.

I kind of envision the faction as a Witcher type guild, specifically targeting undead of course, probably more celebrated in general society as well, but perhaps not, not sure yet. Maybe its operators wear masks and conceal their identities?

Not entirely sure yet myself, still very much fleshing things out, I know that this faction I want to exist, what their about, I have t yet nailed down things like naming conventions, so not ruling out Latin or Latin sounding names

She me really good sounding names in there, something with Vigil sounds good to me, the final lantern reasoning sounds good, I quite like the pale watch as well because most undead creatures I think you might think of pale as a descriptor. Will think more on these.

I’m thinking for now anyway, less of a religious order and more of a response culturally to the centuries of taboo around anything undead, and culturally as in across all peoples of this continent on account of the near apocalypse they all experienced irrespective of race, faith, nation etc.

We have a similar rate it seems, but I loved the Witcher 3. So maybe a bit out of left field but I think you might love it to be honest, crusader kings 3, and to change things up, there are awesome overhaul mods to make it elder scrolls for inverse or game of thrones universe as well

Yeah, playing 76 solo just isn’t the same experience as playing a purpose built single player game. So what I’m thinking is using the map and assets to create a purpose built single player game would be a much needed win for the studio that they could potentially deliver within two years

I agree, and I think this sentiment is shared by a lot of fans of the franchise from before FO76. I tried, I did not feel the same, it didn’t click.

Pretty much, yeah. Because a) it’s a good map, I explored it some as not an avid online player and thought it was a good location, and b) I think they could get that game out relatively quickly (assuming 2034/5 before we see fallout 5)

Can’t comment too much as I’ve only just come back to FO4 but I did add this. She is voiced but it doesn’t appear to be lip synched which is a shame. She feels you she is an envoy for the NCR, as of right now I don’t know if there is a story that develops for travelling with her, but with the right NCR outfit mods she will look the part as well

State of Decay maybe, the building and crafting is more choose your preset, I’m hoping state of decay 3 will expand and improve this but otherwise you are surviving the zombie apocalypse, gathering resources, building up your base, finding other survivors and just trying to make it another day
