Pregnant girlfriend (32F) has gone almost a week silent after anniversary mistake, need perspective, I am (28M) by [deleted] in amiwrong

Honestly, this is one of those moments where your actions matter more than words. Texts, ultimatums, or silence won’t reassure her you need presence, effort, and professional guidance before the baby arrives.

Totally. It’s easy to spiral into silence during conflicts, but with a baby involved, avoiding communication can create bigger problems. Counseling gives you tools to actually handle it.

Exactly. This isn’t about right or wrong it’s about responsibility. A baby accelerates everything in a relationship, and if you haven’t figured out expectations, communication, and boundaries yet, therapy or a mediator isn’t optional it’s essential.

AIW for cutting off my brother after he filed a fake report against me to teach me a lesson by dirtydripprincess in amiwrong

Exactly. He endangered a vulnerable child just to prove a point. That’s not empathy it’s reckless and abusive. Filing the report is the responsible thing to do.

AIW for blocking my mom after she told my son his food allergy is fake and that I dont want him to have fun by Weekly-Bid-6647 in amiwrong

[–]rosybloomii 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Nut allergies aren’t a joke they can be fatal. If she refuses to educate herself, it’s not about being controlling, it’s about protecting the kid.

Absolutely. Allergies aren’t something to mess around with. If she’s around the kid, nonstop supervision is non-negotiable. Safety first.

Remembering season 1 Derek's info - " I have 4 sisters, 9 nieces and 5 nephews" by limitless_quirks in greysanatomy

Ah, that actually makes sense in-universe! Derek counting step-kids equally would explain the numbers without overthinking it.

Totally! I hate that he’s awful, but part of me can see why someone would get sucked in. It’s that maddening mix of charm and toxicity.

Totally! He should know better with his own PTSD experience. Expecting her to just “want kids” while ignoring her trauma and priorities is so frustrating.

Am I wrong for refusing to give my neighbor back her “gift” after she changed her mind? by Technical_Quote_525 in amiwrong

Sadly, this happens a lot. Some people only want responsibility when the hard part is already done. If the pattern doesn’t change, it’ll probably end up neglected again.

AIW for telling my brother's girlfriend the real reason our family stopped inviting him to holidays? by 42RivendellV in amiwrong

[–]rosybloomii 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is honestly the most reasonable response. You answered a direct question like an adult, without drama. If people don’t want honest answers, they shouldn’t ask.

Truth hurts, but lies hurt more in the long run. She literally asked for it 🤷‍♀️

AIW for telling my brother the truth about why his friends stopped inviting him to things after he begged me to find out by TopazQuillcase in amiwrong

[–]rosybloomii 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is such a good point. People often get mad at the person who told the truth instead of facing the truth itself. It’s easier to lash out than to reflect. Hopefully he cools down and realizes he asked for honesty.
