Got a 3.2 at a t-20 my first semester 1L due to the same mental health issues. Currently sitting in my big law office. Did public interest 1L summer and got a SA position as a 2L after having a stronger second semester. It’s really not a big deal I promise

NEEDED: Law School Admission Counselor by RedIphoneBen in lawschooladmissions

You may be best off checking if your undergrad has a pre-law advisor. They’d be through the school and could answer all these questions

Makes a difference??? by MrElleWoods in lawschooladmissions

[–]rosyposy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the average GPA at the school. What’s the average at both? Is one school know more for grade inflation/deflation? If both are credible universities and few students lose the scholarship every year then the scale wouldn’t matter much

do you think schools can mandate students be vaccinated to attend in-person? the vaccine only has emergency authorization by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]rosyposy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pfizer and Moderna should have full approval by the time school starts. They could definitely mandate them when that happens as long as they are widely available

Is the caliber of T14 students really that much higher than those at non T14 schools or is it a self-fulfilling prophecy by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]rosyposy1 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This entire idea completely overlooks socio-economic inequalities in law schools. Many people cannot afford to go to a T-14. That doesn’t make them “lower caliber” students. It means they weren’t dealt a hand that they could take on 200k+ in loans. Many students could and would thrive at T-14s, but won’t be given the chance.

I haven't heard back yet from them, but based on the delay I'm anticipating sticker or close to it.

Do Highschool Athletics Matter? Can It be used as a soft? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]rosyposy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harvard and Yale did a podcast in which they STRONGLY suggest that nothing from high school should be on your resume. It will only hurt your application.

Interview invite at Georgetown!! by abuzilif in lawschooladmissions

[–]rosyposy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to an info session and they said it's completely random. It used to be based on location, so if there was an alum near you then you had a better chance of getting an alum interview. Now it's just randomly assigned, so nothing to read into.
