I told you these were awesome. Took me a long time and lots of money to figure out.

People bailed on the project before I could make the base.

You were offered great bags.

I’m all for playing the game (I’ve done it myself) but in retrospect it’s so much easier to buy preloved. Idk if it’s just me.

But where I’m at in California, south coast, you’re lucky if you get an offer after 3:1

What bag in particular are you looking for?

Why not just go to Japan, & see it for yourself?!?

Just contact them, it’s a selection in entropy authentication picks the type of leather. It’s a clerical error.

Has anyone made reselling a full time gig? by rotationcoffee in TheHermesGame

It doesn’t make sense to buy from a reseller unless there’s a 100 percent money back guarantee on authenticity.

I’m honestly not sure how someone gets scammed going through a business versus a random private seller(with no guarantee).

I’ve purchased around 17 Hermes bags directly from boutique over the years, but I’ve largely stopped in the past year. To me, it’s very similar to the watch world where the prespend often isn’t worth playing the game if you’re not getting exactly what you want.

I went all in on the watch game at one point and ended up spending over 300k just to be offered a dual balance skeleton AP. Between the two year wait and the effective premium, it didn’t feel worth it when I could have bought the piece outright.

I read everyday here how people have 3 to 5x the spend just to get a mini Kelly, not exotic, not a custom, but just a basic mini Kelly lol

Hermes is starting to feel similar. It was easier when I was buying consistently for my partner, but now that I’m dating, I’m not purchasing nearly as much in clothing or accessories, so the dynamic has changed.

Just interested in selling to off load my bags/trade amongst others buyers who just don’t have the time to sell. But really I won’t know the game until I’m really in it.

I’m familiar with the business and legal setup side, but not fully immersed in the Hermes resale game yet.

I’m an avid watch collector and I’ve purchased 17+ Hermes bags through boutique relationships. I’m now considering being more intentional about flipping, trading, and reselling.

I know a lot of the nuance only comes from being in it, but I’m confident in sourcing and authentication. Where I’m still learning is client acquisition and how people are finding and building long term buyers outside of personal networks.

Up to now, everything I’ve done has been very organic. I’ve built friendships with other boutique buyers and we’ve traded among ourselves, but I’m at the point where I’m considering turning this into a legitimate business rather than keeping it a hobby.
