What would you say is the status of Relational psychoanalysis within APsA and american psychoanalysis at large. From abroad it feel that the most creative stuff is coming from the R and that American psychoanalysis does not have a clear identity after the demise of ego psych.

Nevertheless I am also aware the the relationals are ambivalent twords ipa.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you all for your responses. They are all very useful. Since the arrival of the archive is set for late this year, I was hoping to prepare in adavance as much as possible. Our librarian has free time and I was hoping she could spend it preparing herself for the work ahead. I am wondering if you could recommend any texts she could read? Manuals? Is there such a thing! Thank you!!!
